Black, gold and BADASS, these statement earrings pay homage to the amazing Stacey Abrams. Stacey is an American political, lawyer, voting rights activist and an author. In 2018 Stacy founded Fair Fight Action, an organization to address voter suppression. Abrams was the first African-American female major-party gubernatorial nominee in the United States. Her loss in that election is of note due to the many accusations that the eventual winner engaged in voter suppression. In February of 2018, Abrams became the first African-American woman to deliver a response to the State of the Union address. Her campaign and its allies registered more than 200,000 new voters in her 2018 election. Fair Fight and New Georgia Project registered more than 800,000 new voters during this 2020 Presidential election. Abrams did not lose faith when she lost in 2018. Instead she doubled down her efforts and perhaps turned the tide of the entire election as votes from voters her efforts registered turned the state from red to blue and tipped us to a Biden/Harris win. Abrams is one badass lady and we need more people like her!
